Customs issues in a nutshell
Who we recommend this training to:
The training is mainly intended for traders, managers, logistics staff and other staff involved in the implementation of the company’s foreign trade activities; it should be attended by staff who need to be familiar with the relationship of the foreign trade transactions carried out to the customs regulations.
Training objectives:
the aim of the training is to familiarise the participants with the customs regulations applicable to the import, export and transit of goods and their application in practice; the knowledge acquired during the training should help the trainees to orientate themselves in customs issues and thus facilitate the conclusion of contracts and the delivery of goods to/from non-EU countries. A better knowledge of customs issues can improve communication and relations with internal or external partners responsible for the implementation of customs formalities for the import, export and transit of goods.

Content:
1st day
Basic EU and Slovak customs regulations,
Basic concepts and terminology in customs issues,
filing preliminary declarations,
customs procedures and customs-approved destinations, explanation, meaning,
simplified procedures and status of Authorised Economic Operator,
discussion, questions and answers.
Day 2
EU Customs Tariff and TARIC system,
Origin of goods and EU preferential agreements (impact on the success and profitability of trade transactions),
Proofs of origin (EUR 1, FORM A, invoice declaration),
proving the status of goods (T2L, T2M, T2F, A.TR, T5, etc.),
customs documents for import, export and transit (SAD, EAD, STD, TIR carnet, ATA carnet),
INCOTERMS 2010 rules – basics,
discussion, questions and answers.
